/ world today news/ Yesterday, at the 53rd session of the UN Human Rights Council, an interactive dialogue was held with a special rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers.
Responding to criticism from some countries of Hong Kong’s National Security Law, China’s representative stressed that since the introduction of the law in the special administrative region, the rights and freedoms of its citizens have been better guaranteed. China strongly opposes any external interference in its domestic politics and the independence of its judiciary, using human rights as a reason for doing so.
