China plans to launch its own satellites similar to the US company Starlink’s satellite network in low Earth orbit. According to reports, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp, a Chinese government-controlled aircraft and missile maker, will launch the first batch of low-Earth orbit satellites. The satellite launch will start from September this year. Meanwhile, China has not released information on how many satellites it will launch.
Starlink is a satellite internet company operating under SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk. Starlink has more than 3500 satellites. Starlink has thousands of customers in the US alone. Starlink plans to launch more Low Earth Orbitals in the coming years.
