China Strengthens Ties With Russia, No Matter How The World Situation Changes

BEIJING – Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov said Russia has always considered developing relations with China as its diplomatic priority.

He also said he was “ready” to increase cooperation with neighboring China.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs pledged to enhance bilateral cooperation with the Russian Federation in a statement issued following Monday’s meeting between China’s Deputy Foreign Minister Le Yucheng and Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov.

“No matter how the international situation changes, China will, as usual, strengthen strategic coordination with Russia to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation, jointly safeguard the common interests of both sides, and promote the construction of a new type of international relations and community with a common future. for mankind,” said Yucheng’s statement.

“In the first quarter of this year, the volume of bilateral trade between China and Russia reached USD38.2 billion, an increase of almost 30%,” the statement continued.
