The bus was carrying about 40 Chinese engineers, surveyors and technicians working on the Dasu Dam, which is under construction in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when it exploded.
Three Pakistanis died, while 28 were injured. Pakistan claims that it was an accident caused by a mechanical fault. China, for its part, claims that it is a bomb attack.
“China and Pakistan will work together to find the truth,” said Chinese Defense Minister Zhao Kezhi in a statement following a telephone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart.
