Zhang was requested to touch upon a declaration adopted earlier this month on the NATO summit in Washington, which referred to as Beijing “the primary supporter of Russia’s conflict in opposition to the Ukraine.”
He dismissed the doc as “filled with lies and bias.”
“NATO alliances led by the US (USA) proceed to fan the flames and revenue from the conflict. NATO wants to consider itself, as an alternative of shifting the blame to China,” Zhang stated.
He then accused the Western bloc of fueling battle around the globe.
“From Ukraine to Afghanistan, from Iraq to Libya, they’ve introduced conflict and catastrophe to those areas and their individuals,” Zhang stated.
He reiterated that Beijing was “actively selling peace talks” between Moscow and Kiev.
Beijing has repeatedly denied accusations that it’s serving to Moscow evade sanctions and supporting Russia’s protection business.
In February 2023, China proposed a 12-point highway map to peace and has since tried to mediate the battle in subsequent conferences with Russian and Ukrainian officers.
