BEIJINGDecember 23 – China’s domestic production of medical supplies is increasing and is generally sufficient, a spokesman for China’s foreign ministry announced on Friday.
The state of epidemic prevention and control in China is generally predictable and controllable, Mao Ning said at a regular press conference, commenting on a question on the Secretary of State for United States of AmericaAntony Blinken, saying that China has not asked him for vaccines.
“Currently, the vaccination rate in China is increasing, as is the vaccine’s ability to cure people,” Mao said.
China is battling an outbreak of infections from COVID-19 which puts pressure on its health care system, and the United States has offered to help Beijing.
Blinken said China has not asked for help to date.
