Most infections are local transmissions, with the remainder being associated with an outbreak among airport workers.
China has confirmed a record daily number of cases of COVID-strain Delta – 124 new infections were recorded the day before. About it informs The Guardian on Friday 6 August.
At the same time, 80 of them are local cases of infection, while the rest is associated with the outbreak of COVID-19 among workers at one of the airports.
Local authorities announced the introduction of blocking trips between provinces and mass testing of residents.
The outbreak of the coronavirus “increases the risk of further spread of the epidemic, therefore more stringent measures must be taken,” the authorities said.
Recall that earlier China has restricted entry and exit due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. Provincial governments also advise residents not to leave their regions.
