Last month, China published a map showing all areas in dispute with foreign countries as its own territory, sparking opposition from neighboring countries.
Recently, when China installed a floating barrier in the South China Sea, the Philippines immediately removed it, claiming it was infringing on fishing rights, causing conflict.

The Philippine Coast Guard announced that it recently discovered and dismantled a floating barrier about 300 meters long installed by China while patrolling around Scarborough Reef, Chinese name Huangyan Island, in the South China Sea.
The Philippine Coast Guard strongly criticized the wall, saying it was depriving Filipino fishermen of their livelihood.
China, which claims sovereignty over 90% of the South China Sea, countered that the establishment of a ‘wall’ was a legitimate measure to prevent illegal intrusion by Philippine ships.
<왕원빈 / 중국 외교부 대변인(25일 정례브리핑)> “Huangyan Island is China’s inherent territory, and China has undisputed sovereignty and jurisdiction over Huangyan Island and its adjacent waters.”
Conflicts between China and the Philippines over sovereignty over the South China Sea are becoming more frequent.
Last month, China fired a water cannon at a Philippine coast guard ship that was trying to deliver supplies to a warship stranded in the South China Sea.
Regarding the recent destruction of large amounts of coral reefs on reefs off the western coast of the Philippines, the Philippines claimed that it was due to the reckless and illegal fishing by Chinese fishing boats and announced that it would file a complaint to the Permanent International Court of Arbitration.
As the Philippines has recently strengthened its military cooperation with the United States, the conflict between China and the Philippines over the South China Sea is increasing.
