According to an up-to-the-minute news report, the new Shanghai Astronomy Museum, under the auspices of the Science and Technology Museum, has an area of around 58,600 square meters and construction began at the end of 2016.
Located in a park about 55 kilometers from the city centre, the complex has a design inspired by astronomical elements and has more than 300 exhibitions.
