Badminton tournament China Open 2023 will be held starting tomorrow, September 5th. Here is the complete schedule of matches.
China Open 2023 will be held September 5-10 2023. The level 1000 badminton tournament will be held at the Changzhou Olympic Sports Center Xincheng Gymnasium, China.
Turnamen China Open it has been going on since 1986. Its status has increased to the super series level since 2007, and changed back to level 1000 in 2018. No doubt, this event is always eagerly awaited by world badminton players because apart from competing for a large number of points, the total prizes offered are also large.
So, at this year’s China Open, the organizers increased the total prize pool from 1.25 million USD to 2 million USD.
In Indonesia’s participation in this event, 22 titles have been won from 1986 to 2019. Indonesia’s women’s singles is the only sector that has never won the China Open.
This year, Merah Putih sent a full squad. The men’s singles sector includes Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. The women’s singles sector was filled by Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Putri Kusuma Wardani.
The men’s doubles sent the most representatives of five pairs, consisting of Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, and Pramudya Kusuma Wardana/Yeremia Rambitan.
The women’s doubles sector was strengthened, runners up to the 2023 World Championship Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi.
The mixed doubles feature Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, Rinov Rivaldy/Phita Haningtyas Mentari, Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
Players will appear from September 5 to compete in the first round or top 32. Usually, this round will be held in two days, Tuesday-Wednesday.
Then all participants who qualify for the second round will return to compete the next day, Thursday (7/9), and so on until the final on Sunday (10/9).
