China is currently the largest market for electric cars, due to, among other things, significant government subsidies. Many Chinese car manufacturers are fighting with each other for the top positions on the Chinese market. Most sales are domestic, but Chinese car makers are increasingly looking abroad. There they can market their electric models at a lower price, compared to prices of traditional European, Japanese and American car companies.
There are currently no plans to bring the SU7 to the European market, but prices will certainly be higher here than in China. Verhoeven estimates that you can charge between 45,000 and 50,000 euros for this model of the SU7. “If you look at the Porsche Taycan, prices start at 100,000, 120,000 euros, that doesn’t even come close.”
