China launches new group of remote sensing satellites

China has successfully launched a group of three Yaogan-35 Earth remote sensing satellites. It is reported by Xinhua Saturday, November 6th.

The launch took place at 11:00 local time (05:00 Kiev time – ed.) From the Xichang cosmodrome in the southwestern province of Sichuan using the Changzheng-2D (Great March-2D) launch vehicle.

The satellites are said to have successfully entered their assigned orbit. This launch was the 396th in a row for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.

It is known that the satellites of the Yaogan series are designed to study the Earth’s surface, assess the yield, they can be used in the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters. But in the West believethat some spacecraft of the Yaogan series may also be military optical-electronic reconnaissance satellites.

Earlier this week, China launched a group of Earth remote sensing satellites type Yaogan-32. The Changzhe-2C launch vehicle was launched from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome.
