BEIJING, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) – China had issued a total of 8.98 billion bank cards according to a balance sheet established at the end of 2020, according to a blue book.
Transactions worth 792.8 trillion yuan ($ 123.240 billion) were carried out by bank cards last year, a decrease of 3.6% on an annual basis, says the blue book published by the Banking Association Chinese.
In 2020, a total of 450 million bank cards were newly issued in China, an increase of 5.3% year on year, according to the book. End
