/ world today news/ The Chinese Academy of Development Science and Technology yesterday published its world innovation ranking. It summarizes the performance and innovative capacity of 40 countries, which together account for more than 95 percent of global investment in research and development and more than 85 percent of global GDP.
China has climbed to 10th place in this year’s ranking, up 3 places from last year. China is also the only developing country in the top 15 of the world’s most innovative countries.
The geography of global innovation hasn’t changed much. Asia, North America and Europe continue to lead the global innovation landscape. At the same time, however, there is a clear tendency for development in the east, that is, more and more eastern countries maintain stable development and achieve results in the sector.
