The 2023 Service Trade Fair will be held in Beijing from September 2 to 6. This year’s theme is “Openness Leads Development, Cooperation and Win-Win Future”. During the current service trade fair, more than 200 summit forums, forum meetings, promotion and negotiation activities will be held one after another. More than 100 domestic and foreign ministers, heads of international organizations, academicians and other guests will participate in the conference to speak. The UK is the guest country of this year’s CIFTIS, and the UK has formed the largest pavilion since its participation in the fair. Zhao Tang told reporters that Zhan Chengxin, chairman of the China-Britain Business Council, will lead a delegation composed of financial service organizations in London to meet and communicate with Chinese regulators and financial institutions. The China-Britain Business Council is actively planning dialogues between government officials of the two countries and top British business executives, as well as industrial dialogues in the fields of finance, sports, and creativity.
Zhao Tang said that the economies of the UK and China are highly complementary, and the UK service industry has huge opportunities for development in the Chinese market. “The China-Britain Business Council has always supported the exchange and dialogue between the UK and China, and supported the UK’s development of trade and investment relations with China.”
Zhao Tang said that the Chinese economy is shifting to a new field with more growth potential. British companies are adapting to this change. In the future, they will pay close attention to regional economic development and focus on the interaction with various regions in China.
