BEIJING – Center for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases (CDC) China equalize relationship human with corona virus as Tom and Jerry in a cartoon play Disneyland.
“The relationship between humans and viruses is like Tom and Jerry,” said CDC Director Gao Fu as quoted by local media, Monday (22/3).
He considered vaccines still the ultimate weapon against viruses because humans live with viruses on this planetary world.
Covid-19 is the seventh type of corona virus that infects humans.
The largest type of virus is genetic recombination. Gao said this means a new type of coronavirus will emerge in the future so that humanity will face more attacks from the coronavirus.

So far, there is no evidence to suggest that this new type of corona virus will disappear and very likely coexist with humans, such as flu symptoms.
Meanwhile, CDC Chief Scientist Wu Zunyou believes that 70 to 80 percent of people who get the vaccine will provide community immunity so that the pandemic can end.
According to him, everyone needs to get the right to vaccinate, so he called on developed countries to help developing countries meet these needs.
Positive cases of Covid-19 worldwide have reached 120 million with a death toll of 2.7 million.
