China has caught covid again; Badminton World Tour Finals moved from Guangzhou | The BWF World Tour Finals moved from Guangzhou to Bangkok due to COVID-19

Beijing: The finals of the Badminton World Tour scheduled in the Chinese city of Guangzhou have been moved to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, following the reports of Covid. This time the games will start a week earlier than previously decided in Guangzhou, from December 7 to 11.

Eight entrants in each category will be announced after the completion of the Australian Open. Currently only Malayalee players HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu have qualified from India. However, Sindhu withdrew as her left leg wound has yet to heal.

Sindhu won the World Tour Finals in 2018. Sindhu replied that he is retiring as the injury is getting tough and his goal is to come back soon and win gold in Paris Olympics.
