This is a cliff lift in Chongqing, China. This elevator is one of the wonders of modern technology located on the banks of the Yangtze River.
The lifts are designed to help visitors climb up the sheer and steep cliffs, which were once accessible only by arduous and tiring stairs.
Built in 2004, Chongqing’s cliff lift is the longest and highest in the world.
With a length of 326 meters and a height of 110 meters, this lift has a carrying capacity of around 50 people per cabin.
In addition, this cliff lift also has three cabins that can move independently and can accommodate up to 200 people at a time.
