Guangming Daily reporter Li Jinrong and Li Lei

The first China Film Performing Arts was launched in Nanjing on Sunday. More than a hundred performing artists familiar to the audience entered the lives of the people and had face-to-face communication with the audience. Shi Wei, the “little white pigeon” in the movie “Lin Hai Xue Yuan” and Tian Hua, the heroine of the movies “White Haired Girl” and “The Party’s Daughter” are both over 95 years old, as well as Wang Xiaotang, Tao Yuling, Xu Huanshan, Tang Guoqiang, Chen Baoguo, Song Chunli , Zhang Guangbei, Zhang Fengyi, Li Youbin, Liu Jin, Li Chengru and other old artists, they are like bright stars, lighting up the history of Chinese film.

The winter morning at Nanjing Yuhuatai Martyrs Cemetery is particularly cold. The red maples, yellow leaves, the white hair of the old artists, and the blossoming yellow chrysanthemums held by the artists make the place more solemn and solemn.

“The country cannot be saved, and if others don’t save it, I have to rely on myself.” When Chen Baoguo, president of the China Film and Performing Arts Society, recited the solemn oath of the revolutionary martyr Yun Daiying passionately and loudly, the artists present were deeply moved. Infect. The old artists were supported up the 100 steps, sang the national anthem, and laid chrysanthemums in front of the monument with their own hands.

While visiting the Yuhuatai Martyrs Memorial Hall, Tian Hua had tears in his eyes when he saw the love story of the red couple Tan Shoulin and Qian Ying. She recounted to reporters Tan Shoulin’s confession to his wife when he died: “‘Where I can see you, my eyes are with you; where I can’t see you, my heart is with you.’ This is a What a spirit! They should always be remembered.”

When Wang Xiaotang heard the commentator talk about the martyrs’ choice to sacrifice their lives for the country, tears filled her eyes. She said that every time she creates such a character, she must come to listen to their stories, and she must come to Yuhuatai often.

Tang Guoqiang, who made a special trip from the release of the movie “The Award of the Founding General 1955”, said excitedly: “To love your motherland, you must first understand the history of the motherland. You must go into history and understand the spiritual world of our ancestors.”

Actor Chen Wei stood for a long time in front of the “iron cage” in the exhibition hall. She said: “Seeing such a cruel history makes me feel that my character Lin Daojing can have a more profound expression.”

Zhang Guangbei, secretary-general of the China Film and Performing Arts Society, said frankly: “Our performances focus on prescribed situations. Coming to Yuhuatai is an immersive experience in a prescribed situation.”

Using classic movies as a medium to engage in dialogue across time and space

During China Film and Performing Arts Week, a classic movie will be screened every day. In order to cooperate with the film screening, veteran artists went into factories, schools, and communities to interact closely and communicate with the audience. On the evening of the 24th, at the Black Box Theater of Nanjing University of the Arts, when Wang Xiaotang, who played the role of Jin Huan and Yin Huan in the movie “Wild Fire, Spring Wind Fighting the Ancient City”, appeared, the scene was boiling.

“One minute on the screen requires tens of thousands of times of hard work off the screen. In order to film, I practiced horseback riding in the cold snowfields of Inner Mongolia for two months, and also went to the beach to learn rowing and rowing. After more than ten days, I finally learned how to row. They are impressive. But these skills only last on the screen for a few seconds. People often say that opportunities come to those who are prepared. But in fact, as long as you keep working hard, opportunities will come naturally.” Wang Xiaotang and Nanyi students share their creative insights.

During the screening and exchange event of the movie “Fire and Steel” held at Yinxing Film Cinema in Laomendong, Song Chunli was very excited to see that the movie she starred in more than 30 years ago could transcend time and space and be loved by today’s young audiences. She recalled that when filming a fire scene, the actors’ hair was really burned, but the director did not call it to stop and the actors were still immersed in the scene. When such a precious shot was replayed, the audience could see it immediately. It is precisely because of the dedication of the main creators back then that the film resonates with the hearts of the audience today. At the scene, the audience sent flowers and portrait sketches to each artist to express their admiration.

Artists and people have fun together

Under the ancient city wall, deep in the alleys, and in street shops, people were so excited to see artists who could only be seen on TVs and big screens in the past that they took out their mobile phones to take pictures. I heard that the actor Zhang Fengyi, who played the role of “Overlord” Duan Xiaolou in the classic movie “Farewell My Concubine”, was coming. The owner of a handicraft store in Laomendong specially handmade an exquisite Chu Overlord mask as a gift to him. An artist I have liked for a long time. After Zhang Fengyi received it, he felt like he had found a treasure.

In the Mustard Seed Garden of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the home of dramatist Li Yuju, artists and tourists interacted and talked about “Idle Love Occasionally”. Seeing the children copying ancient paintings, Li Youbin started chatting with them. In the corner of the “Yue Pavilion” in the central area of the park, a live Yue opera “A Dream of Red Mansions” is being performed. Artists all said that from the people and to the people, this kind of art week is very meaningful.
