Seon Yi, a professor at the Institute for International Relations and Public Affairs at Fudan University, criticized the BBC for putting China’s national security at risk by promoting separatism in China over a significant period of time.
Li Haidong, a professor at the Academy of Foreign Affairs, predicted that China could take further retaliation.
He observed that China could deport the BBC reporter if the BBC did not correct its mistakes and stop distorting Hong Kong, Taiwan and the kidney problem.
He added, “If reporters can’t report on the real China, it is right to get them out.”
Professor Lee pointed out that the BBC’s China-related reports have done a great deal of damage to China-UK relations, especially the Corona 19 report.
Li Baiyang, an expert at Wuhan University, criticized the media as playing a long-term role, saying that the BBC’s distorted reports about China were part of Western anti-Chinese propaganda.
Earlier, the UK broadcasting and telecommunications regulator revoked the broadcasting license on the 4th, saying that China International Television (CGTN) is operating under the control of the Chinese Communist Party.
China has criticized this and warned that it could “take necessary measures”.
China and the UK have been struggling over the enactment of the Hong Kong National Security Law.
China also waged a media war with the United States last year and took retaliatory measures such as expelling reporters.
