CNN reported on the 24th (local time) that China is positively considering providing drones and ammunition to Russia.

CNN, citing a source, said, “Negotiations between Russia and China on arms prices and other issues are ongoing, although China has not yet made a final decision.”

While Russia has repeatedly requested drones and ammunition from China, the Chinese leadership has been actively discussing the issue over the past few months and has reportedly recently turned to providing weapons, CNN reported.

The Washington Post reported on the same day that China is considering providing 122mm and 152mm ammunition to Russia.

China has ostensibly been neutral, refusing to criticize or support Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. For the same reason, Chinese companies have provided Russia with only small amounts of non-lethal equipment such as helmets and bulletproof vests.

CNN analyzed, “The provision of drones and ammunition means that China’s support for Russia, which was at the level of providing non-lethal equipment such as helmets, will be greatly expanded.”

Suspicion that China is emphasizing ‘peace’ from the front and trying to provide arms to Russia from the back continues to grow.

Germany’s Der Spiegel reported earlier that the Russian military authorities were negotiating a deal with Chinese drone maker Bingo to mass-produce self-destruct drones. US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln also said that he had clear evidence that China was trying to provide arms to Russia, and that he was considering whether to disclose it.
