BEIJING, KOMPAS.com – China confirms that all 132 passengers and crew on the China Eastern Airlines plane that crashed this week died.
Earlier, Flight MU5735 traveled from the southwest city of Kunming to the port city of Guangzhou on Monday (21/3/2022), then crashed from a height in a densely forested area of the Guangxi region.
Reported Reuters (26/3/2022), initially there was little hope of finding survivors.

But on Saturday night (26/3/2022), Hu Zhenjiang, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), confirmed that there were no signs of life from the crash site.
123 passengers and 9 crew were killed.
Search teams previously said they had identified the DNA of the 120 people on board.
They are also still looking for a second black box or flight data recorder.

However, they found an emergency location transmitter from the plane close to where the second black box was installed.
This was said by Zhu Tao, director of the CAAC Aviation Safety Office during an earlier press conference.
The team is also continuing to search for the data module of the flight data recorder itself.
Another black box, the cockpit voice recorder, was found on Wednesday (23/3/2022) and has been sent to Beijing for examination by experts.

Search teams have dug up parts of the plane in the thick mud both by hand and by engine.
No significant compounds of ordinary explosives were detected in the wreckage of the crash.
