The Chinese Ambassador to the UN Mission in Geneva, Chen Xu, presented the true situation in Xinjiang and Hong Kong on Monday at the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council and called on the USA, Great Britain and Australia to refrain from interfering in the domestic affairs of other countries immediately stop the pretext of human rights.
Chen Xu stressed that the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Canada and a few EU countries had abused the UN Human Rights Council’s platform, spread false information and unfounded criticism of China. China vehemently rejects this. The above countries have always criticized developing countries, including China, but ignored their own human rights problems. China calls on such countries to immediately stop violations of the human rights of their peoples and the peoples of other countries, to immediately stop interfering in the internal affairs of other countries under the pretext of human rights and to make a real contribution to the protection of human rights worldwide.
Unwaveringly, China has put the people first and has achieved considerable achievements in promoting human rights. China welcomed a visit by the UN Commissioner for Human Rights to China and Xinjiang. Both sides are in the process of maintaining close contacts, the Chinese UN diplomat added.
