China Calls 28 Fighter Jet Raids Memorial for Taiwan

China say maneuver 28 fighter jetto the region Taiwan is a warning to Taipei which is considered to continue to collude with the West to gain independence.

The spokesman for China’s Office for Taiwan affairs, Ma Xiaoguang, said the Taiwanese government was to blame for the tensions.

Beijing believes President Tsai Ing-wen’s government is working with foreign countries to seek formal independence.

Ma said this in response to a reporter’s question whether the maneuver of dozens of Chinese fighter jets to Taiwan was a response to a joint statement by the G7 countries that dictated the Bamboo Curtain country, starting from human rights affairs to dealing with Taipei.

“We will never tolerate attempts to seek independence or haphazard intervention in the Taiwan issue by foreign forces. So we need to make a strong response to this collusive act,” Ma said at a press briefing in Beijing on Wednesday (16/6).
