China Begging for India to Return Soldiers, Claims PLA Member Arrested Lost While Helping Local Shepherds

Sosok.ID – Soldier India has arrested the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on the disputed border.

Army PLA it was caught in the Demchok area in Ladakh east and will be returned after completing formalities, said the army India in a statement on Monday (19/10/2020).

He got lost while crossing the border in the western Himalayan region where the two countries have assembled thousands of troops following deadly clashes in June.

The Chinese military said late Monday that it was communicating with India over the case of the Chinese soldier who got lost on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Demchok sector, and had been arrested.

The Indian Army identified him as Corporal Wang Ya Long, who was provided with medical assistance including oxygen, food and warm clothing as protection from the harsh climatic conditions.

He also confirmed that he had received a request from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) regarding his existence.

Quoted from The Hindu, Tuesday (20/10/2020), the Army said according to the established protocol, Corporal Long will be returned to Chinese officials at the Chushul – Moldo meeting point after completing the formalities.
