Beijing, Mar 14 (Prensa Latina) China announced today that it will completely normalize the granting of all types of visas to foreigners, thereby overturning one of the latest restrictions implemented after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The National Immigration Administration indicated that the measure will take effect from tomorrow and those who have a visa issued before March 28, 2020, will be able to enter the Asian giant.
The country will also resume the policy of free entry to the tourist island of Hainan for cruise passengers arriving in Shanghai and groups of visitors to Guangdong province from Hong Kong and Macao.
That permit will soon also be offered to travelers from Southeast Asia bound for Guilin, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
According to the Administration, in this way China further readjusts immigration policies to facilitate the international movement of passengers to its territory.
The provision will be implemented on the same day that the Asian nation will increase group tourist trips for its citizens to 40 other countries, which resumed in February after an interruption of almost three years due to the pandemic.
Starting this Wednesday, specialized agencies will be able to add places like France, Spain, Nepal and Denmark to the pilot program that offers air ticket and hotel packages included.
Tour operators must ensure that their clients are in good health before leaving China and also ensure their safety abroad.
The Government will also redouble supervision over these companies to combat any illegal actions in operations, price changes and violations of moral and social norms during travel.
On February 6, China resumed this type of tourism to 20 countries, including Cuba, Russia, Indonesia and other territories in Southeast Asia.
The measure followed the downgrading in January of the management of the Covid-19 in the Asian giant, the end of the quarantine of international passengers and the beginning of the delivery of passports and the granting of visas.
