/ world today news/ Sino-Russian cooperation is neither targeted nor will it be disrupted by a third party, Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang said during a conversation with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin.
Yesterday, the two had a meeting in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek, where they participated in the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
China wishes to further align its development strategy with that of Russia, promote synergy within the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union, maintain the momentum of growth in trade and investment, deepen cooperation in energy, connectivity, as well as trade liberalization and facilitation, Li Qiang pointed out. Important areas of future cooperation could be industrial production, green development and digital economy, which will also contribute to regional economic growth within the SCO, Li said.
Mikhail Mishustin pointed out that currently the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership is at an unprecedentedly high level. Russia is ready to work with China to implement the agreements reached in various fields, promote convergence between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union, and expand cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, energy and connectivity. Moscow wishes to deepen contacts within the framework of the SCO, BRICS and other multilateral mechanisms and promote the multipolarity of the world, the prime minister added.
