(VOVWORLD) — China and Japan will hold the 15th round of high-level consultations on maritime affairs on April 10 in Tokyo, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced.

Mao Ning said at a press briefing that “officials from the ministries of foreign affairs, ministries of national defense, maritime law enforcement and maritime management departments of the two countries”, would participate in these talks.
“China hopes to have an in-depth exchange of views with Japan on maritime issues between the two countries to enhance mutual understanding and trust,” MaoNing said, adding that “China will promote proper management differences and pragmatic cooperation”.
