The Taiwanese flag carrier is rebuilding the sales and marketing team around Joachim Trauner. He studied in Linz and brings many years of industry experience to China Airlines. He started in 2002 with Tyrolean Airways at Linz airport. Via Austrian Airlines in the former city office in Ekaterinburg in Russia, he ended up in Vienna with Niki. At the parent company Air Berlin, he was responsible for business with corporate customers in Berlin. This led him to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi to expand the global business client segment there. For the past 5 years, aviation enthusiast Trauner has worked as Country Manager for Germany and Austria at the largest Russian private airline S7 Airlines.
