[Introduction to this issue]On August 24 local time, Chinese President Xi Jinping and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa co-chaired the China-Africa Leaders Dialogue in Johannesburg. Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech titled “Jointly Advancing Modernization and Creating a Better Future for China and Africa”, emphasizing that China and Africa should jointly promote the establishment of a fair and reasonable international order, jointly maintain a peaceful and secure global environment, and jointly build an open and inclusive world economy. Three measures are put forward to strengthen China-Africa practical cooperation in the next stage and help Africa’s integration and modernization. The meeting adopted and issued the “Joint Statement of the China-Africa Leaders’ Dialogue”. The African leaders attending the meeting thanked China for supporting African integration and for helping African countries when they encountered difficulties. People from all walks of life in Africa spoke highly of the huge achievements of China-Africa in-depth cooperation in multiple fields, and expressed their strong willingness for China and Africa to join hands to build a high-level community of shared future.
