At the age of 31, he founded Chimei Industries and became the father of acrylic in Taiwan. At the age of 63, he made ABS the number one in the world. He competed with Formosa Plastics in the petrochemical industry and was known as “North Taiwan”. Chimei Electronics was established at the age of 70 and became the fourth largest panel manufacturer in the world.

Chimei Industrial is known as a happy company. It was the first company to implement two days off per week, including setting up a nursery. The starting point was to fully take care of employees, so there were almost no labor disputes.
