A number of major football clubs in Europe have launched their own cryptocurrencies, also known as fan tokens, in recent months. These fan tokens are mostly launched on the Chiliz (CHZ) network. The fast growing crypto exchange FTX.com is now going to list these altcoins on its trading platform!
This week announced Chiliz is partnering with FTX. Part of the collaboration is that FTX Chiliz will start listing fan tokens. The fan tokens of Inter Milan (INTER) and the Turkish club Galatasary (GAL) are the first to go. However, Chiliz houses a variety of fan tokens from 60 major clubs such as FC Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Arsenal.
The press announcement states that after INTER and GAL, more fan tokens will soon follow on FTX. Fans and investors can obtain the tokens via the exchange, which makes it especially interesting for fans to own a piece of the club. With the tokens you can vote, access exclusive content and VIP experiences.
FTX has recently grown rapidly and is gradually increasing its market share. CEO of the trading platform, Sam Bankman-Fried, says of the partnership with Chiliz:
“At FTX, we always want to be at the forefront of innovation. Bringing Fan Tokens to our platform through this partnership with Chiliz will give our users a new way to connect with the teams they love. We look forward to working with Chiliz in launching this product to a global audience.”
FTX enters European fields
FTX has been working hard for a long time to increase the awareness of its brand. The exchange was already quite well-known in the American sports world, where FTX, for example, has bought name rights of stadiums. It also went into business with a famous american footballer.
So now the trading platform is also entering the European fields. Football fans worldwide can own a piece of their beloved European club through FTX.
FTX raised another record investment in July. Investors put as much as $900 million into the company, the largest investment in the crypto world ever.
