The chilli with the infamous name – in German “Carolina Sensenmann” – is the hottest chilli in the world Guiness Book of Records. It has up to 2.2 million “Scoville” – in this unit the sharpness is measured.
For comparison: Tabasco has up to 5,000 Scoville. So the “Carolina Reaper” is 440 times as sharp as Tabasco!
