Chile’s Service Sales Indices Highlight Growth in Artistic and Recreational Activities

The eight Service Sales Indices marked increases, also highlighting Accommodation and Food Service (19.7%) and Real Estate (13.8%), according to information from the INE.

He National Statistics Institute (INE) published the Services Sales Indices for March 2023highlighting the Sales of Artistic, Entertainment and Recreational Activities at current prices, which increased 44.2% year-on-year.

As to Transport and Storage presented a 11.4% year-on-year increasewith the eldest growth in air transport (8,267 percentage points (pp.)). they follow him road transport with 3,725pp.

On the contrary, the activities of transport support and service activities related to water transport (ports) fell 1,752pp. and 0.587pp.

With respect to accommodation and food servicethese grew 19,7% to twelve months, driven by the activities of restaurants and mobile food service (7,365pp).
