Chilean Studio Punk Robot’s “In the Stars” Joins Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2 Anthology

“In the Stars” is the title given to the short by the Chilean studio punk robot which belongs to the anthological series “Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2”.

Directed by Gabriel Osoriodirector of the Oscar-winning short film “Story of a Bear”the production focuses on two sisters, Koten y We have, who live hidden in their devastated land. The two argue about how to survive the invasion of the Empire.

in conversation with radio agendathe scriptwriter of the production referred to the Chilean identity that he sought to capture in the chapter of the iconic Star Wars series.

“Force is part of what I have always liked about the universe […] strength is for us this metaphor about our roots finally, and that’s what the short is about,” says Osorio.

“If you look, Koten is this character who doesn’t want to go back to her roots, who doesn’t want to look back. Somehow I feel reflected in her, I feel her as this vision that we Chileans have, that we forget our And Tichina, on the other hand, is the sister who is pulling her back to those roots, through the metaphor of strength, she has to remember how to use strength,” she adds.

Osorio emphasizes that through this production they wanted the chapter to “have a little more life beyond the screen” and adds that “we wanted to ensure that when you finished watching it, you would continue to think a little more”.

“Star Wars: Visions Vol. 2”, disponible en Disney+, brings together animation studios from around the world. The second season has the participation of Spain, Ireland, England, South Korea, France, India, Japan, South Africa and the United States. Chile is the only representative of Latin America.
