Chilean cyclist Aranza Villalón is champion of the Grand Prix MOPT Tour El Salvador 2024 – – 2024-03-15 23:53:17

The El Salvador 2024 Tour ended yesterday after nine exciting days of competitions, full of adrenaline, that took place in the territory. This important event demonstrated, once again, the reason why the country is chosen as the venue for renowned activities in different areas, including sporting events.

The cycling competition ended with the MOPT Grand Prix, the last of four contested, which included a 25 kilometer route. The starting point was the Sunset Park sector, in La Libertad, with San Luis Talpa, in La Paz, as the goal.

There were 55 cyclists who competed in this last test in the time trial mode, each one started with a difference of one minute and they put in their maximum effort to achieve the shortest possible time and take first place in this contest.

Finally, the Chilean Aranza Villalón, from the Soltec Iberoamérica team, managed to be crowned the winner of the MOPT Grand Prix, by setting a time of 35 minutes and 22 seconds; Second place was won by Russian Tamara Dronova, with a small difference of two hundredths; and the third was arranged by the Austrian Anna Keinsenhofer. These last two from the Roland team, which dominated during the competition.

“I am speechless, it is very nice to win. I’m excited, I knew it was an all or nothing test. “I feel very happy to win this Grand Prix against the clock, this is my specialty,” said the first place winner.

Villalón expressed his joy for the welcome that El Salvador has given him and his satisfaction for the organization of this sporting event, which he described as “a very good showcase for all the teams before the world.” Likewise, she said she was delighted by the wonderful landscapes that she was able to see in the country, during the different tours.

In this way, this elite women’s cycling event ended successfully and reconfirmed that El Salvador is a host par excellence of world-class events, thanks to the transformations that the nation has achieved during this administration.
