Since he began in the field of painting in 1995, the name of the Chilean artist Paulo Toledo Spencer has positioned itself more and more on the circuit.
With a style inspired by urban and comic aesthetics, as well as a strong connection with colors and South American iconography, his works reflect a clear personal stamp that is highly distinguishable.
Although throughout his career he has presented multiple exhibitions in different spaces, he recently chose to show his art in a different format.
In collaboration with the craft beer Luthier, Toledo was in charge of illustrating 16 labels of the brand born in Los Angeles, which will expand its distribution in the country.
“I think an artist should be close to people and very authentic. We must leave our workshop and provide inspiration for the training of other artists. In this case, linking the ‘Toledos’ works to Luthier is a way to meet that challenge,” he explains in a statement that was shared with LT.
The collaboration between Toledo and the firm from the BioBío Region is part of Luthier’s plans to expand its presence in the national market.

For this, the brothers Carlos and Eric Carrasco – the entrepreneurs behind the beer – decided to present it for the first time in cans.
The latter are the ones that were illustrated by the artist.
“We want to contribute to the growth of the artisanal segment in Chile with the production of captivating and authentic hand-made beers. We put all our heart into what we do and although we want to reach more palates, we will not compromise on maintaining the quality of our products. We are and will always be part of the Craft culture,” said Carlos Carrasco in the statement.
From the firm they assure that some of the most important recognitions they have received are two gold medals in the World Beer Awards of 2021 and 2022, in addition to a gold award in the Copa Cervezas de América 2022 and a first place in the National Cup of Brewers 2022.
