In this way, Chile would join Israel, whose authorities already advanced this Tuesday that they would launch a vaccination campaign to inoculate a fourth dose in order to cope with the advancement of the new omicron variant.
Chilean health authorities have confirmed this Wednesday 981 new positive cases, such that the total number of infected is close to 1.8 million. Similarly, another six deaths have been added, bringing the total number of deaths to 38,900 since the start of the pandemic.
