The Ministry of Health reported this Tuesday 1,336 new infections of Covid-19, the lowest figure since last May 9, when there were 1,247 cases, reaching a total of 362.440 infected since the start of the pandemic.
The deceased registered in the Civil Registry in the last 24 hours were 33, raising the total number of deaths to 10.546.
On the other hand, 1,157 patients are entered in Intensive Care Units, 184 of them in “critical state”. In the country are 549 fans available.
In the report published by Health, it is announced that positivity rate of PCR tests nationwide today decreased to 5.76 percent. It’s the best number since April 12, when a 4.85 percent rate was reported.
Chile, with 19 million inhabitants, is the country in the region that performs the most tests per million inhabitants and already totals 2,068,079 exams since the beginning of March.
The nation is also the ninth with the most infected in the world, ahead of the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain, according to an independent count from Johns Hopkins University (USA).
