A must-see event for children’s literature, the Children’s Book and Press Fair (SLPJ Montreuil) in Seine-Saint-Denis has unveiled its selection for the Pépites 2023. 20 works by 26 authors divided into four categories will compete for the Népite d’Or, elected by a jury of professionals and literary critics. A reward will also be awarded in each category, determined by a committee of 36 jurors, aged 8 to 18 years old. The names of the winners will be announced on November 29 during the opening of the 2023 show, while the awards ceremony will take place on Sunday December 3. Another important distinction, La Grande Ourse, will be awarded on November 9.
This edition will mark the beginning of a partnership between the youth event and Place des libraires. 130 brands will be involved in the collaboration, and around thirty booksellers present during the event will welcome the authors competing for the prize.
