Saturday – Children with cancer from the Hans Lindner Foundation’s Ray of Hope program replaced the tree that was broken by a teenager with a linden tree in Cub Park. There was news in the media about a teenager who carelessly destroyed a tree that had just been planted in Cubic Park. In response, the beneficiaries of the Hans Lindner Foundation’s Ray of Hope program (children with cancer and their families) have offered to replace it with a new tree, which they will take over and take care of. “Good deeds make us stronger! Planting a tree is a positive and responsible act, even in the life of a local community. The children grow with enthusiasm because their lives were once destroyed and then reborn, and it is now their duty to give hope for a better world to the hopeless and unbelieving. . Not only does the tree bring ecological benefits, but it can also emphasize the strength and cooperation of the Sathmar community: do not despair, do not look for the person who guilty and blaming him, but put the mistake together – even with the guilty person! “Even planting a tree gives us hope: the power of the community can help us overcome adversity and trust in the creation of a better world, which we create ourselves,” says Tibor Koczinger, head of the Hans Lindner Foundation in the Saturday.
A team of 5th grade students from Mircea Eliade high school as well as Sathmar town manager, Csaba Maskulik, and Tibor Koczinger, director of the Hans Lindner Foundation, also participated in planting the linden tree. “With every new tree we plant, we invest in the future and trust that it will grow, that our children and grandchildren will grow up under it, and that it will add to the long-term beauty and sustainability of environment and our community. ” concludes Tibor Koczinger.
