A man molested three 5-year-old children in the Swiss city of Zurich, police said. One of them was seriously injured. The other two children were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The three children were in accordance local media with a supervisor on the way from school to after school care. “I heard children screaming and then many police officers came,” a witness told the Swiss news site NZZ.
Shortly after the stabbing, a suspect was arrested: a 23-year-old man from China. The children’s supervisor and a witness overpowered the perpetrator and held him until the police arrived.
It is not clear why the man attacked the children. The police do not accept the motive of terrorism.
