As part of the “Engaged Stadt”, to which the city of Neumarkt officially belonged since last year, the first campaign “I think of you – children paint for seniors” took place with project manager Anna Lehrer from the community center.

Neumarkt.Making others happy – that was the intention, according to a message from the city.
This campaign was carried out together with the community foundation, the Neumarkt volunteer agency and the GENiAL eV association. Demanding and promoting commitment, bringing people together and connecting them, strengthening civil society, all of this was combined in the project “I think of you – children paint for seniors”. All children from kindergartens, daycare centers, the Lebenshilfe or the day care center in the city area were called upon to paint pictures for seniors as little gifts in the not easy time. The finished works of art were collected in the community center, provided with the name, age and name of the childcare facility. In the end, almost 600 fantastic pictures came together, which are now being distributed to the retirement homes and facilities by GENiAL eV. The winners of the toy vouchers have already been drawn and informed.
