Children no longer an issue for Olcay: ‘Don’t think I’m going to be a mother’

In her own words, Olcay walked around for a long time asking if she would have children and if so, how many. Now she has resigned herself to the fact that this probably won’t happen again. “I don’t think I’m going to be a mother anymore,” she says. “Especially now that I’m in a relationship with a man who already has three of his own.”

Every two weeks Ruud’s kids – Toy Travis, Johnny and Teddy – visit them at their home in Amsterdam. “I then deal with them very loosely. It is not my job to interfere with the upbringing. I really enjoy the days that they are there, but just as much of the freedoms that I also have for myself.”

In the same interview, Olcay says that she would like to talk about it if Ruud commits a slip. Where in the past she pushed her lover aside if she or he cheated, the fashion designer thinks she would deal with it differently now.

“Of course I am not waiting for Ruud to do it one day, but if that is the case, then I think it can be discussed. Those kinds of things happen in life.”
