Only a couple of days after a man with a machete behaved threateningly in Klepp, the same type of knife has been found in a sandbox.
It writes Jærbladet.
It was on Wednesday afternoon that several children found a machete in a sandbox on a playground in the municipality.
– If we are talking about the machete that was used in Monday’s incident, then it is evidence in a case, so we have seized it, says the head of operations in the South-West police district to the newspaper.
Ten-year-old Olav, Eirik Kårstad’s son, was one of the children playing in the sandbox.
– He understood what it was because I had spoken to him about this case when I read about it in VG. He shouted at his mates, and they ran together to tell us the parents, says Kårstad to VG.

Man arrested
The case Kårstad is referring to happened on Monday morning this week.
The police received several reports about a man with a machete who had been threatening people in Klepp.
Several resources searched for the man, who was arrested a couple of hours later.
– The arrest was very undramatic, it went smoothly, operations manager John Ask told VG.
– We must come back to what the threats actually are.
Not questioned
On Wednesday, police attorney Christina Nessa told Jærbladet that the police had not found the machete that the man had used.
Whether it is this machete that the children have now found is unknown.
According to Jærbladet, the playground is in the same area where the police were on Monday.
The arrested man has not yet been questioned.
