“Three more minutes . . . “. Michael Voss from the Turbo-Schnecken, his helpers as well as children with lanterns, grandpas, grandmas, fathers and mothers are in the starting blocks. At exactly 6 p.m. the lantern parade started moving.
It marked the end of the St. Martin’s Day celebration for the whole family, which the Turbo-Snails had invited to on Saturday, November 3rd, at their club and sports center on Bräuckenstrasse.
The eleventh St. Martin’s Festival was again well attended. “We sold 220 tickets in advance,” reported Turbo-Schnecken chairwoman Brigitte Klein. And one or two tickets were also sold at the box office.

The family afternoon opened with a performance by the children’s theater “Don Kidschote” from Münster. Visitors were able to shorten the waiting time in the lobby of the Schneckenhaus with St. Martin’s pretzels, sausages, sweet treats and warm and cold drinks. The little lantern fans were also able to have their make-up done at a stand.

Then the stage was finally set for the children’s theater. “Don Kidschote” played the piece “Schnick and Schnack in search of happiness”. Katharina Laukemper and Joscha Gingold as Schnick und Schnack thrilled the children, who made themselves comfortable on blue and red gymnastics mats.

Can you see happiness? Can you buy happiness? Can you conjure up luck? Where can you find happiness? Is happiness forever? In the adventurous story with magic, humor, lots of music and movement, there were questions upon questions about searching in the middle of nowhere and finding things in the heart. That resonated with the children. The young audience played along loudly, just as the actor duo had wanted.
