Children Discover Multiple Explosives in Brabant Woods

Oct 14, 2023 at 3:20 PM Update: 17 minutes ago

Three children found no fewer than five explosives in Dorst in Brabant on Saturday. The explosive ordnance disposal service EOD has now collected the bombs.

The boys, aged eight, ten and fourteen, were playing in the woods on Saturday morning when they saw a bomb next to a tree, writes Broadcasting Brabant.

They removed some moss and then found four more explosives, after which they called the police. Presumably someone with a metal detector dug up the bombs and placed them next to the tree.

A specialist reports to the Brabant broadcaster that it concerns old war ammunition. Three explosives are mortars. The other two are still under investigation.
