A young girl died of her injuries after she was hit in Gjerdrum. Police are looking for witnesses.

– The girl who was hit tonight died later from the injuries at Ullevål hospital, the police write on Twitter.
To Aftenposten says police attorney Mette Eriksen in the Eastern police district that a person, who is referred to as a close relative, is charged with violating the Road Traffic Act after the incident.
– Exactly what happened is still a bit unclear. But we have done forensic investigations on the spot, and things indicate that this was a tragic accident, she continues.
At 02.15 on Thursday night, operations manager Terje Skafnes told VG the following:
– We have finished the forensic investigations, those affected are taken care of by health.
On Thursday morning, the police wrote on Twitter that there were several witnesses to the incident that the police have not yet spoken to.
– The police have a strong desire to get in touch with you, they write further and ask people to call 02800.
The accident must have happened on a school grounds, and the girl must have been in early school age. She was transported to Ullevål hospital with serious injuries after the incident.
The police inform VG night to Thursday that the next of kin have been notified.
