Not only experienced by adults, COVID-19 including Omicron can also trigger long COVID aka prolonged symptoms in children.
The reason is, the severity and duration of symptoms can not be separated from the immune system factors that each child has. As a result, children who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 will experience different conditions.
“There is another long COVID in a child. Dr Hinky also revealed that the symptoms of long COVID-19 can have an impact on children’s daily lives, such as children becoming weak and reluctant to carry out activities.

So, what are the symptoms? According to Dr. Hinky, the symptoms of long COVID in children are individual. Some experience shortness of breath, cough, and weakness. If the symptoms are traced not from other diseases, it is suspected that the child has long COVID symptoms.
“Sometimes there is one symptom that persists and doesn’t go away, it’s very individual. There’s just shortness of breath that comes and goes, someone keeps feeling weak, someone coughs. he continued.
