(CRH0y.com) The National Vaccination and Epidemiology Commission (CNVE) agreed that the Children between 6 months and 5 years of age receive 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The governing body explained that, between the first and second doses should be three weeks apart; while between the second and third vaccine, will be 8 weeks that must pass.
The decision of the immunization technical group was made in an extraordinary session held on July 14.
With this criterion, the National Emergency Commission (CNE) will have to initiate the management process for the acquisition of vaccines.
Altogether they will be 900 thousand doses that will pass to the control of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) for its application in the country’s health establishments.
The CNVE approved vaccination for this age group on June 24.
